Wow, does this bring back memories! I served aboard the USS Sagacity home ported in Charleston, SC in '69 and '70. We didn't have much sea time due to a rehab and then the 'accident. Your photos are great, just remembering what the interior looked like. Thanks

To Lt. Jack Byers: I was the RM on the Implicit who tried for about 4 hours to get the message out telling someone that we had the Persistents anchor chain wrapped around our shaft in Da Nang. I rfemember you well, but the Captain was in over his head.

Chuck, your website is fantastic! I arrived onboard the Implicit in Dec â??68 (SMSN) and departed in June 1970 (SM3). It was the most fun I had during my 4-year hitch. I spent over an hour perusing the pages of your site and pondering the great photos that bring back memories I didnâ??t know I had. Thanks Chuck for your dedication in putting together this very informative and pictorial piece of our past.

I am glad someone had it together to take some pictures, they are great! Brings back a lot of memories. I have been in close contact with Tim Sewards (signal man) since I left. I have also spoke with Robert Melby about once a year. Tim Sewards and I met X O Chris Biggalo in salt Lake and had a great visit with him. I remember Joe Verlico..."Hey, your Red Sox finally won the big one!" I am still waiting for my SF Giants! Also spoke with Capt. Strickland in Florida, and he is doing great. Thanks for the great website Chuck!!!

THANK YOU for such great website! I could believe my eyes in looking at some of the places I had visited, between 1969-1972, but failed to take pictures. I visit your site on a regular basis just to recall those ports. I was on the USS Navasota AO-106, long gone now!

Your site has the honor of becoming my 12,356th "favorites" site. Thanks so much for documenting those wonderfully free days of my yoiuth. I served aboard the Whippoorwill (MSC 207) out of india basin Sasebo from June 68 till I transferred to the USS Firm (MSO 444) out of Long Beach in I think 70'.. I last came ashore in Hawaii as the ship was in transit back to the US after a westpac cruise, and I was home in Burien Wa. by the time she reached Long Beach. All in all, a thing to remember. Peaceout

I have been looking @anything pertaing to the USS Dynamic and ran onto this site. I was so pleased to see many of the sites my husband had seen at about the same time as these pictures. My husband was CO of the Dynamic 68-71. I was able to see the chair he sat in on the Dynamic/ My husband died in 2005, I know he would have enjoyed these pictures. Thank you so much for sharing your memories.
